March 9-13 - Anchorage & Mat-Su Spring Break. Join us for all-day, every day activities while schools are closed!
March 22-28 - National Boys & Girls Club Week - Open the Door and Take a Tour of our Wonderful Facilities!
April 17-19 - Global Youth Service Day – Celebrates the contributions of youth to their communities through volunteer service. Members can organize projects that address issues such as global climate change, education and illiteracy, poverty, health, hunger and homelessness.
May 9 - Faster than a Falcon 5K Fun Run - Be a part of the 4th annual Faster Than a Falcon 5K Run! Our flat and fast race will start at Clark Middle School and run through the Mountain View community. A special prize will be awarded to anyone who can finish ahead of the Falcon mascot. 100% of the proceeds go directly to the Mountain View Boys & Girls Club. Come out and run or volunteer to support the Clubhouse that watches over Mountain View’s youth by providing kids with a safe place to be active. For more information go to: www.fasterthanafalcon.info
May 26 - Summer Programs Begin
United We Serve – Clubs engage youth in service-learning activities during the summer months. Project emphasis areas include summer reading, environmental issues and community health.
August 4 - National Night Out - NNO is designed to: Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
August 14- Last Day of Summer Programs
September 11 - National Day of Service and Remembrance – Clubs are asked to plan and implement service activities in honor of the sacrifices made in the name of our country, and to pledge continued volunteer service to our nation.
September 5-11 - Yellow Ribbon Week (Suicide Awareness and Prevention Week)
September 19 - Boys & Girls Clubs Day for Kids – BGC Day for Kids is a day set aside each year to celebrate and honor America's children by spending meaningful time with them. It's about celebrating kids – children, grandchildren or any child in need of mentoring.
October 22 - Lights on Afterschool - Boys & Girls Clubs celebrate after school programs that keep kids safe while inspiring them to learn and grow.
Red Ribbon Week - October 23-31 - This week-long campaign provides multiple opportunities to join together to address alcohol, tobacco, other drug and violence related issues or concerns in the community.
